This is a set of 3 CUSTOM EFFECTs to simulate sensations experienced on track from street tires, which squeal with light loading and minor slippage, progressing to lower-pitched moans with increasing loads and slippage, then finally juddering near breakaway.

  • The first CUSTOM EFFECT simply allows the user to tune accelerations provided by SimHub 7.3.14.
  • A second CUSTOM EFFECT allows tuning SimHub's wheel slips to better warn near breakaway
  • A third CUSTOM EFFECT generates tactile feedback by converting tweaked accelerations to wheel loads and applying to conditioned slips.  For example, a fully unloaded wheel generates no feedback..
  • A fourth CUSTOM EFFECT has been added to generate warnings when unloaded rear wheels begin slipping (oversteer while braking or lifting throttle).  Steering wheel force feedback is good for warning about understeer;  trailing throttle oversteer is trickier...

I use this profile with an SRS ShakeSeat (4 Dayton pucks in a seat cushion).  It is further described here and there.

Hi,

Been following your profiles, but can you tell me how the heck I get them into simhub. I have 4 shakers working beautifully with AC but I am tearing my hair out trying to get a decent wheel slip profile working in AMS2. Spent all day on it & it is doing my napper in now 🙂

Cheers, Shane

I apologize for forgetting to monitor this forum.

  • Click ShakeIt Bass Shakers icon in the left margin
  • If the profile is in your Documents\SimHub\ folder, then it should appear when you:
  • Click Profiles manager
  • Select the profile
  • click Import profile
