Hello! Lovely set of tools thanks! Could you please explain how to get the clutch bite working? I have copied the relevant effect and pasted it into my profile, activated it on the relevant shaker channel, when I press test it works. But in game (tested in assetto corsa) it does not activate - looking at the graph while driving the clutch never bites. I am surely missing something! Thanks
@xexets Hi, and thanks for kind words 🙂
For the clutch friction effect, make sure you have the "RSC - Input Display" plugin installed and enabled (Settings/Plugins)
Then this plugin has to learn the bite point per car as this data isn't exposed by the most game.
Here is how the clutch learning process looks:
More details in the documentation if needed.
Edit: Taking a closer, it seems the included profile doesn't have the correct property mapped to the clutch friction effect.
Ill have to update it.
Try replacing
[ExtraInputProperties.ShakeItClutchBite]
with
[ExtraInputProperties.ShakeIt_ClutchFriction]
Ah fantastic, many thanks! Do you have to leave the overlay visible for the clutch bite to work once it's learnt the bite point?
Will it work with any simhub supported game (with manual H shifter cars)?
I'll try this out also with the replacement you suggested and report back. Thanks!
@xexets The overlay doesn't have to be running.
It should work with any game.
Some games lack input data, in which case the plugin can use the raw input from the device you mapped in the plugin settings.
I also noticed some games have the bite point very close to 100% pressed. In this case the effect may not work properly, or feel "truncated", as it produce an output over an arbitrarily range above and under the bite point.
@romainrob Perfect, many thanks. And, last question I hope: Do I just need to enable the plugin and jump into the game for it to learn the bite point or do I have to configure the input plugin first?
Thanks!
Hello Romain!
First, I'd like to thank you for your plugins, I use them a lot in my dash, they are awesome!
I just wanted to inform you that it seems like the images names for the new iRacing Mercedes in your image library don't match the plugin's output.
Your file name is "Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020.png" while the plugin outputs "Mercedes GT3 2020", thus the images don't load. Renaming it fixes it, at least on my dash, but I used the same logic as in yours, so I'm pretty sure the same issue happens in the leaderboard and relative dashes.
I suppose it's the same for the GT4, but haven't tested it yet.
Thanks again for your amazing work, it is very appreciated, and have a nice weekend!
@romainrob super thanks! I do have another question sorry! Once I set the bite point for a certain car, and then for another one, do I have to reset it on e I go back to the first car or it saves the bit point for each car once set? Thanks!
@tghost Hi, it seems there is something wrong with the plugin ExtraInputProperties.GameSteeringSaturation.json setting file.
Could you please share me all the ExtraInputProperties.XXX.json files you have in C:\Program Files (x86)\SimHub\PluginsData\Common
Then close SimHub, delete these files and start SimHub again.
Deleting the files did the trick! Its all working now. I attached the files you asked, before deleting them. Thank you!
@tghost Good! 🙂 Thanks for the files. I'll implement something to hopefully prevent this issue in the next version.

Hi, no. They are saved per game and car for future use, to this file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SimHub\PluginsData\Common\ExtraInputProperties.ClutchBitePoints.json

@primax Hi. Thanks for the heads up.
I don't have any of the new cars and wasn't able to run into them in hosted this time round, except for the SR10.
So I grabbed the names somewhere else, but it seems it doesn't always math the car model name. 🙁
I'll change the file name of the GT3. And add an alternate name for the GT4 until I can test it, just in case.
Have a good one yourself 😉
Edit: I figured I can set the cars I don't own a opponents in AI sessions.
I fixed the GT3 name for the next update. The GT4 one was correct.
1.2.5 Update
iRacing Leaderboard overlays:
- Added a font size setting.
- Reduced the standing leaderboard vertical resolution from 1188 to 1080 to prevent it from automatically scaling down upon loading on 1080p screens. Please re add it to your layout.
- As the result the standings max number of rows in now 57 instead of 64.
- Fixed the clutch friction effect not using the correct property in the included shaker profiles.
- Fixed the new Mercedes GT3 logo name.
- Fixed the following plugins not working in some cases due to malformed setting files:
- Input plugin
- iRacing plugin
- Sounds plugin
- Persistent odometer plugin
Enjoy!
Hello Romain.
Updated your great work and simhubdash to version 8, how can I get out the vibration in The Many Faced dashboard?
In previous versions, I think, there was a option in plugin configuration, but I dont find in the last version.
Many thanks in advance.
@banquer Hi. If you're talking about the dash flickering when driving over bumps, it relies on the included shaker profile.
Look into the "Feeder effects" group and disable the "Road impact" effect used for the dash flickers.
