@skiggity242 Hi,
The plugin saves the values to this file when the game disconnects, to load it again when the plugin starts:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SimHub\PluginsData\Common\PersistentOdometer.SavedDataLiveGames.json
I'm afraid the data is lost. I can't say why for sure. I haven't updated the plugin un a while.
My dash pack installer doesn't touch the files in the PluginsData folder but uninstalling/reinstalling SimHub can wipe all the plugin settings/saved data. This happened to me once when updating.
And then there is always the odd chance of file corruption causing the plugin to generate a new file.
@romainrob Appreciate the swift reply as always; Fortunately I know what the previous mileage was and I can just add it to the formula for my overlay to keep it consistent. Thank you!
@romainrob Question - I thought I had noticed somewhere a function/value that would estimate, based on your position in a racing in iRacing how many points you would gain/lose. Did I dream that or is that such a thing that I could add to a dashboard?
@exigeous Hi, it exists. Look for this property: IRacingExtraProperties.iRacing_Player_iRGainEstimation
@romainrob Thanks so much my friend, I knew it was there somewhere! Once again thank you so much for your game changing additions to SimHub!
I recently asked you for your details on your shaker set up. Last weekend I completed my nine puck/shaker set up. I since have adapted your base shaker settings to my system. It’s working very well.
Initially I did have some trouble with one of two sound cards sound level at zero. For some reason unknown to me, the gain that you use for your sound customization is affecting one of my two sound cards. It would be easily fixed by setting your sound customization to my TV. My TV is set as default sound in windows and that’s what your sounds customization is supposed to use but instead it uses one of my bass shaker sound cards.
Any idea from my insufficient explanation what the problem could be?
@no1needs2perish Hi, I'm not sure to understand the issue. If it helps you can make so SimHub doesn't control the sound card volume directly. Try the "generated sound gain" option in the output tuning settings.
I changed the output tuning to 'generated sound gain'. I like that option but unfortunately, it didn't change my problem. When I adjust 'simhub sounds action volume' from 'settings', it governs the first sound card (not the second) because 'this output is your current windows default . . .' Here's the rub, windows does NOT have it as default. I can change windows sound card default to other cards in the list but simhub still refuses to obey and considers the first shaker card as default.
I have gotten around this problem by turning 'simhub sounds action volume' to 50%. While it suits bass shaker setup, it is too loud for your sounds 'check your car settings' and other voice help. And the voice is coming from the shakers because your sounds uses simhub recognized 'default playback device'.
Thanks for helping guys like me who are techie wanna-bees.
@no1needs2perish That's odd. It's supposed to use the default sound card.
What if you restart SimHub, or even reboot your pc after changing your default sound card to make sure all interfaces were released?
Also maybe try disabling exclusive mode in windows sound settings for your default sound card (or all of them) and see if it helps.
Good morning,
I use 8x8 displays (right and left).
Is it possible to add the same functions as the "official" iflag (safety car, debris, MEATBALL, Incident, car damage etc)

I found the settings are designated according to application in 'Volume mixer' in windows 11. This is not intuitive to me, so I never really focused on that settings area, especially since default settings seemed to be handled elsewhere. Well, they are handled elsewhere but default PER APP turns out to be really important. SMH. Thanks for sticking with me and thanks for all the feedback/help.
@no1needs2perish Hi, interesting. I never consider the effect of the per app default settings as I don't use it. Good to know this has an impact here.
@jb600cbr Hi, I'm not familiar with iFlag or 8x8 displays. But I assume it should be possible with custom effects. iFlag and SimHub must rely on the same set of data in the end.
@romainrob Hi, I downloaded your Overlays and Hax TV's for a couple of weeks but both have the same problem that I can't solve, the steering wheel doesn't work and stays still, do you know how to help me? Thank you
