Building race simulator with monstermotor board. Do I not need to add potentiometer for ref?

Hi all. I am busy building a motion simualtor. I want to use 2x wiper motors to simulate car movement. In the connections for this shield I do not see connections for pots for reference. Is this correct? I would prefer using only simhub. Think it is amazing software
