Hello everyone,

I am fairly new to sim racing and I have my SimHub running a dash along with a 2-motor pedal haptic setup on the throttle and brake.  The steering wheel has a few buttons and a multi-switch that can be connected to button functions in iRacing and SimHub and I'm figuring that out.  I don't know that I want to add a button box yet, but I do like the idea of adding multi-position switches to do stuff like changing brake bias.  I thought I might be able to use a very simple USB zero delay joystick controller, or an expandable controller like a BU0836A 12-Bit Joystick Controller to just add one or two multi-position switches that act like hard buttons of a box.  I would configure the 12-point multi-switch so that position 1 would be lowest bias to the rear and position 12 would be full power to the rear.  To mount things, I would just 3-D print a plate that bolts to the face of the wheel and holds the switches so I can reach them easily.

The piece of information I'm unsure of is if SimHub can handle the constant-on input from a 12-point rotary switch.  I also don't fully understand how you configure things, but it seems like you setup the joystick controller in SimHub, then access those functions in iRacing.  Any help figuring this all out is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jose
