Hi everyone! 👋
I’m exploring the possibility of using GT7 with PSVR2 (and potentially PSVR3 in the future) alongside the RS Mega Kit from eRacing Lab and SimHub. I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with a similar setup or insights into potential compatibility issues.
My biggest concern is with the VR tracking limits in GT7. As some of you might know, if the cockpit moves too much, the game can interpret that your head has left the car and pause the action. For standard cockpit motion, I assume the issue might be manageable, but does anyone know if there’s a way to minimize or avoid this problem entirely?
Additionally, I’m considering adding Traction Loss (TL) and Surge to the setup in the future. I understand these movements are more likely to cause tracking issues, as the headset might leave the in-game car frequently. Has anyone successfully managed these features in a VR setup for GT7?
I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions from this awesome community! If you’ve worked with the RS Mega Kit or similar setups using SimHub, I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for optimizing this combination.
Thanks in advance for your help! 🚗💨
I've just started looking at this too and have the same concern, it will absolutely intepret the frame movement as that you have moved your head.
My initial thoughts are an enclosure around my frame with reference dots / lines on its internal walls. A little exreme but would do the job.
I'm new to SimHub, only recently realised GT7 publishes telemetry over UDP, plan to initially add vibration motors to all 4 corners of the frame and play about with displaying race data on another screen (as occosionally have sim nights with friends where we do a race and switch drivers throughout).
