Arduino speed effect with addressable leds

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance on developing a project using Arduino and addressable LEDs.

The goal is to create a sensation of speed with a flow of lights on each side of my rig. The LED strip has 144 LEDs, and I want a small number of LEDs (3-4) to flow along the strip at a speed defined by Simhub.

While I'm proficient with Arduino, I'm not very familiar with Simhub. I would greatly appreciate any information on the variables and how to use them in the sketch.
