This haptic feedbck gamepad has awful software from NLR, but works perfectly in Simhub. This thread is for any advice or examples on best results for the vibration motor profiles.

Any one have a good starting point? There’s so many settings not exactly sure where to begin.

right now I feel like I have way too much going on to distinguish any specific vibrations.

It's best to start with fewer effects. Overall, it works better on ACC than AC because effects like decel and rumble strips are not possible in AC. Also, the knob on the power control needs to be turned up all the way to the red LED.  I would like better shifting feedback, currently I can't feel it in any game.

@raytruant mostly using it in ACC, and yep, doing my best to start small based on some reviews I’ve seen on YouTube.

Shifting is actually the one that I can always distinguish, I’ll share the profile I’m using later today once I get off work.

Hi All,

I can’t get this to work with any game using sim hub. I can get it to work on AMS 2 using the awful software that comes with it. I’ve followed the directions and if I press test on the tuning menus it generates rumble but nothing in game even AMS 2 when I follow the setup.

can someone give me some pointers as to how to make this thing work on ACC and AMS2?

Make sure simhub is runnng, that the game appears on the icon list, and that you have selected the game, before you launch ACC. Also configure the profile under "shakeit Motors" and assign the motors on the second tab "motors output". Save the profile. Make sure the pad LED control wheel  is red.

On icon page, on upper right, game config, make sure game is properly configured and the right UDP port.

Thanks for the profile, but it would be nice if I could get mine working.  I have the licensed version of Simhub and just picked up the HF8.  I find the actual crap software works better for other titles but of course doesn't for ACC so I resorted to Simhub.

I run the game THROUGH simhub by clicking the launch game, but it doesn't register I am playing it.  Instead, I can tab out of ACC and simhub still has "waiting for connecttion" or whatever it says up top, and I can click LAUNCH game again.  No idea if I have my telemetry proper, but it states game configured properly on UDP port 9600.  Tried changing it and configuring again but still no joy in game.

Also, when clicking Launch game, it launches Steam on desktop mode even though I have it configured to launch in VR.  Any idea how I can launch the game in VR and have simhub register or sense that I have launched the title and have the gamepad working as it should?

@euanpetrie you don't need to launch the game through simhub. I just select the game and leave simhub open in background. But the connection check should be green.

Just make sure the profile slider button is "on", it's not obvious.

This video is accurate, as opposed to the typical Youtube SimRacing  shills who purposely only review it on iRacing.

@raytruant Thanks for the video, but this guy really just loads up SImhub and it works for him.  I'm not sure whats going on with mine, the test buttons work in simhub and the vibrations are there.  But when I load a game, nothing works.. I tab out and it says the game is connected, but still nothing when I am driving.  Everything is set to 100%.  The knob is cranked all the way up and showing a red LED...  I run simagic peripherals and now wondering if they are conflicting with the signal somehow.

I'm trying both F1 22 and ACC.

@euanpetrie I think a conflict with another peripheral is likely. Try only HF8 with SimHub. I have no problems with ACC, but I'm only using the HF8 with simhub.

@euanpetrie It took me some time to get it working in all my games. This is how it worked for me
- Download his settings file (link in YouTube Video Comments)
- Load his settings file (ShakeIt Motors, Effects Profile, Profile Manager, Load)
- Select this settings profile for each selected game. Select the game, then go to ShakeIt Motors, Effects Profile, Profile Manager and select the profile "DDF Any Game".
- Start the game

@wolfixx Thanks! I'll give this a try, I'm almost at a lost and ready to return this thing if it's only going to work in one game through the crappy NLR software

@raytruant I am only using the HF8 with simhub also.  Simagic peripherals have their own app for telemetry if even enabled.  I can always disable it or just use a rim that has no display. The simagic app is mostly for changing  your wheel lock revolution, FFB settings etc.

@wolfixx So this profile totally worked.. makes no sense to me at all but thankfully everything works in all games.  Now I can tweak it to my liking.  Thanks for this!
