First of all, since this is my post, I wanted to thank developers of Simhub - what an amazing product. Please accept my deep gratitude.Β

As for my issue, I have 2 noob amps with 4 channels total to drive 4 shakers. I created new profile for effects and also took my time to fine tune gain and check/uncheck effects in output selection tab. All worked fine until big windows update - after update was applied, Simhub greyed out my devices and forgot about my settings. Effect settings are still there and I can re-import the profile but the output selection settings are reset and I have to start from scratch.

This happens to me the 3rd time and every time after big windows update.

Is there any way to use actual names of devices instead of device UUID? I think this what causing this issue as somehow windows update will change uuid of some devices and you have to remap them again.

Also it would not be so painful if we could save our selections somehow.

and one more thing - is it possible to uncheck ALL channels with one button? it is a pain to go and uncheck all just to set a few

Hi !

This is indeed something which I plan to improve.
Unfortunately if you have twice the same audio output it might have the same name, so name is not really reliable, the best way I see is to allow to remap the "orphans" outputs to an existing one.Β  I will try to address that asap πŸ˜‰Β

About an "uncheck all" button it's dΓ©finitely doable, I will try to bring it to life too πŸ˜‰

@admin5435 thanks so much for a quick response! glad it makes sense what I was asking πŸ™‚ I think that hybrid method with device id/orphans should work. I forgot that then I got my 2 amps for shakers, I had to rename them in Windows and I guess not everyone will do that.Β
