I installed 9.06.7 today and my RGB Matrix arduinos from Etsy show black and disconnected in simhub. I rolled back to 9.06.6 and my RGB Matrix arduinos show the connected in the correct info. Tried to go back to 9.06.7 and same issue of arduinos not working. Not finding any info on this. Nor do i know much about the devices since i bought them did not make them. I got them all working and configured awhile back and they just been working fine since until 9.06.7. Hopefully it a bug or something that can be fixed in the software so i can continue updates..
Hi ! The arduino with fake CH340 chips were creating lot of internal errors and extreme CPU usage since the windows driver update from november. when those errors are detected it will now disconnect instead of keeping your computer warming the room 😉Â
You can find instructions about how to rollback to the older driver which does not have those issues here https://github.com/SHWotever/FakeCH340DriverFixer once rollbacked it will work as it should.Â

Thank's for the super quick reply!!! This worked perfectly. I feel like a fair amount of these etsy arduino devices are using fake chips. Should those of us with the fake chips be looking to replace them? I am pretty tech savy but this is my first experience with arduino devices.Â
