Hi all, I thought I purchased a common rotary encoder in the CTS 288V232R161B2 -- I ordered them from Digikey: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/cts-electrocomponents/288V232R161B2/270036   ... it appears Leo Bodnar sells the same model encoder too. I'm using a pro-micro.

Anyways, when I chose full steps for the step mode, it registers every 4 detents.  If I choose half steps, it registers every other detent... it's like I need a 1/4 step setting.  Has anyone experienced this, or know what I can do make these encoders work? They have 4 pulses per revolution but curiously Leo Bodnar claims this model has 1:1 pulse-detent... I'm confused!

Hi !

Indeed this kind of encoding is not supported yet :  https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/wiki/Arduino-Rotary-Encoders

Well thank you kindly!  My I ask if there is a technical or administrative reason it isn't supported?  Do you know if there are any plans to integrate support?  Lastly, let's say I want to edit the sketch before upload, so that I can "hack" in my own code to support these.  Is there an easy workflow to suggest?
