Hello,

i just bought 2x 80x80x25 12v DC 2Pin Sunon fans with 3200rpm and they can operate from 4.5v-13.8v as stated in Sunons datasheet.

I also got a Powersupply with 12v2a24w with DC jack, an Arduino Uno rev3 clone (elegoo) and a adafruit motorshield v2 clone.

I connected the 80mm Sunon fans to the Motorshiled (tested all channels) but they wont spin and dont even give a little impuls like they want to spin and get to little power. they just do nothing.

The Arduino gets power from Motorshield 12v input (removed little jumper on the Motorshield) and measured all 4 channels with a multimeter and all 4 channels give me 12v burst when i press "Test Channel" in Simhub.

I then connected a 5015 Sunon Radialblower DC12v 1.2a 2Pin (also operates from 4,5v-13.8v) and a big Phanteks 200mm 3pin fan to the Motorshield and they work just fine ingame and when i press test.

I then got a small 5v powerboard (arduino kit / Elegoo) and powered it from the same powersupply with dc jack that i used to power the shield / arduino before and tested the 80mm Sunon fans with 3.3v / 5v and 12v and they worked just fine even at 3.3v.

Why do they wont spin even with 12v on the channels on the motor shield but do spin even with 3.3v on just a powerboard.

Global Gain is 100% and also Speed gain is 100% in Simhub.

In Arduino + Motorshield setup i tried 400pwm / 1600pwm and 1900pwm

(small Sunon and 200mm Phanteks worked everytime but the 80mm Sunson didnt)

Does someone has a clue whats up?

I ordered a different Motorshield aswell as 2 other fans to test out but i really would like to use the Sunons since they have the right specifications

for my needs

regards
