Running latest Simhub and have had this happen with older version, during a race my buttkicker will stop working, then randomly it will come back. Any ideas what could be going on here?

This is the usual symptoms of overheating /failing amplifier.
To confirm this the best way is to use headphones on output or seriously lower the volume to check that the signal has no defects.

just to follow up, I discovered the prong in the cable they provide had broken, and it was intermittently making connection. strange.
