As the title implies, I'm trying to replace the Timing black box, and seeing the incident count can be critical. I don't see a variable or function for it -- can I look somewhere?
No one answered, so maybe no one else knew either. Or maybe it was too obvious. In any case, it's actually pretty easy. When bringing up the list of available properties, check the "Show Game-specific properties" box, and a whole raft of iRacing (in my case) stuff appears -- including PlayerCarMyIncidentCount.
Good you found out yourself, that's the best learning method! Haven't read your post earlier but it's probably indeed a bit obvious. Like going to a bicycle forum asking how to ride and then saying "hold up I found these here pedals, it's working now" 🤣 All jokes aside, good luck with your dashboard.
Thanks for the friendly poke! I hope you'll also have some comment on this one:

Ypu can check the documentation of the software just fall , library, or framework you're using. Look for information related to the "Timing black box" or any related features. The documentation may describe how to access incident count data or provide details about available functions or variables.
@jim-b slap me silly, but i cant even seem to find the show game specific properties box you are talking about 🙁
i have checked everywhere in the dash editor and just cant find it. maybe im to blind, who knows, but im trying to get an incident counter myself, out of the blackbox and somewhere on screen.
can you give any pointers where it should be located? this post is the only one showing up for me when i do a google search for simhub incident counter.
Sure, replacing a timing black box sounds like a significant endeavor. To find the incident count, you might need to dig deeper into the system you're working with.
To retrieve the number of incidents from iRacing, you can use the iRacing telemetry SDK (Software Development Kit) provided by iRacing. This SDK allows you to access various telemetry data from the iRacing simulator, including incident count.

You can access the incident count in iRacing using the iRacing telemetry SDK, which provides access to various telemetry data, including incident count.
It's great that you discovered the solution on your own; that's often the best way to learn! I didn't catch your post earlier, but it sounds like you figured it out yourself, <a style="color: #ffffff;" href=" removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener">omegle chat room which is kind of like going to a bicycle forum asking how to ride and then saying, "Wait, I found these pedals!" 😄 Jokes aside, best of luck with your dashboard!
