Hey. Love the software, not sure what I’d do without it to be honest!

need some assistance though please. I have recently purchased this ( https://skullsimgear.com/shop/ols/products/kite-stand-alone-iracing-flag-indicator ) and although working great with the iFlag software (iracing) I’d much prefer the use in SimHub as it’s more customisable and can keep all in one app etc. (I also play AC more than anything else).

ive asked the guy that sells it what components are used as I believe I need to know this to select the correct item for sketch/firmware upload to the Arduino from the SimHub setup menu.

He unfortunately won’t tell me exactly what is used (the RGB matrix/Sheild I think) as it’s part of his “strict IP” however what he has said is it’s a Arudino uno board. When I first installed on my pc I had to install the CH340 driver (if this helps at all).

any help will be much appreciated, if  anybody knows which options to select when setting up the arduino in SimHub. I should also say when launching SimHub and going the arduino section, it is flashing/cycling colours so I believe on a basic com/serial level it is responding to the “hello” signal from the software, but I’m unsure what sketch to use in case i brick something.

tye seller also send me this which is GitHub page for iflag (if it helps at all) but this I believe is just giving basic instructions to what hardware is needed and not necessarily what RGB matrix he has used (although the picture of the RGB screen looks the same)

https://github.com/simracer-cz/iFlag/tree/master/hardware

thanks!

edit* just shout if you need me to grab some other details at all (short of taking the thing apart which I really don’t fancy doing! )

Hi ! As far as I know iflag still only supports dm163 based shields, so it's likely to be the shield in this device too :  https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/wiki/Arduino-RGB-Matrix#sunfounder-dm163-shield-wiring-aka-iflag

Oh really? That’s fantastic news then.

so that means (if it is in fact that Sheild) there is actually a chance I can use it with SimHub then? As I was slightly worried I wouldn’t be able to

does that mean when configuring the arduino in SimHub, I select the options for the arduino uno and dm163 - then basically upload that sketch?

thanks again

I just wanted to report back and say that was correct. Selecting those components and uploading sketch worked successfully
