Hi, I initially purchased a motor shield that didn’t have enough output so I purchased a Monster Moto Shield. It only worked on one output so I connected both fans to the one output which had plenty of power. (I got a partial refund on it). I have just set up a new computer and the fans wouldn’t work. I reconnected it up to my original computer and they are not working there either.

When I first set it up and pressed test only one light lit up, that’s when I realised only one output was working. Now neither light lights up on the Moto Shield. It is showing as connected.

Because they are expensive I am considering getting a L298N instead. Will this work and give me the variable speed that the Moto Shield did? Is there anything else i should be aware of?

I see when i select the L298N in the Arduino set up it shows the pins to connect to, so i assume it’s all good to go.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Regards

Graham

Just had a thought, i should have the original motor shield somewhere that didn’t have enough power. I might try connecting that tomorrow just to see if it works.
