I hope all is well. I love simhub and how it adds so much coolness to my DIY rig. I have successfully added a 4 inch tach and it worked great. My only complaint was it was a little too large for my rig. I purchased a smaller 2" tachometer and hooked it up correctly and it didn't work. I triple checked my set up and it is perfect.
Here is the 2" inch tachometer that I purchased.

It has the similar 3 wire setup. Ground, 12vdc and green trigger.
I thought I might have received a defective tachometer and purchased another one and that also doesn't work. I can get the needle to jump my applying voltage to the green wire, so i know that tachometer works.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'd really like to use the smaller tachometer and it fits nicely and has better color options.
Hello,
just a stupid question... Have you checked the connections to the arduino board? Maybe they got bumped a little and not making a connection.
Or, I guess you had to do some resoldering...maybe there is a fleck of solder overflowing into the next hole.
Good luck
