Hey and thanks in advance for any help on this.

I came across the Boosted Media wind sim and thought I would give it a go.

I hooked it all up and got it all working but it will only work on channel 1 on the board, if I try and plug a fan into the channel 2 motor it will not spin. I have plugged both fans into the first channel both individually and together and with the test it spins with no issues so the sketch and principle works.

Is there any thing I need to do to get channel 2 to work?

I have tested turning all 12 channels on in the motor output but still only the 1 fan spins.

This is the board I am using as my Motor Shield

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Q82852G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have taken the power jumper off and as per Will's instructions the power is plugged into the Motor Shield and not the Uno

Thanks in advance

Hi ! At first sight I would think about a defective board,

Have you tried channels 3 or 4 ?

Also take care of polarity, most fans won't run in reverse polarity, and these boards does not have polarity clearly wrote on the board (as it can go forward or backward) a voltmeter is a good way to check that 😉

What is the power requirements for your fans ? This particular board is deprecated in simhub since a few years due to its lack of power you may have simply fried the channel.

Thanks for your reply, turns out it was the polarity, the one that Will was using was Pos, Neg, Gnd, Neg, Pos, this one want Pos, Neg, Gnd, Pos, Neg.

As soon as I switched the 2 cables on channel 2 it fired straight up with no issues 🙂
