I've searched for answers but maybe I'm searching for the wrong question?

Is it possible to have two separate Android devices connected via USB tether, running two separate dashboards at the same time?

I've been successfully using an Android tablet as a dashboard and wanted to add a dedicated button box on a second tablet, however, the second tablet, once connected/tethered to the PC, won't show the Server during the PC Setup.  If I try to set it up manually it shows the same IP address that the first tablet is using.  Upon further investigations, the two tablets are using two separate IP addresses but share the same DNS server.  The DNS server is what the Simhub PC app is showing as the IP address.

How do I get them both to work?

I have little experience with tethering but as far as I know you have very little control over the DHCP settings of the phone and it may be hard to get a working network configuration. In all cases if you can get a "viable" network configuration you will probably get two ips allocated for your computer (one per tethered device) but simhub is designed for a more classic setup and will suggest you only one. You will have to get your computer IP for both interfaces (using ipconfig for instance) and use the appropriate one for each device. As long as the IP and port are correct it will work, the IP address suggested in simhub is only for information but simhub is "listening" to all the network interfaces anyway.

Thank you, Wotever.  I appreciate you taking the time to respond.  I actually came back to the forum to delete my post because it was user-error.  When I connected the second tablet, the computer opted to use the internet connection of the tablet instead of its own Wifi signal.  Once I got that sorted out, the second tablet found the SimHub server with no problem and it works flawlessly.

If this is helpful for others, please keep, otherwise, you can delete this thread.

I love Simhub and can't race without it,so after a year or so using my android phone for dashes I bought a tablet so I can display more info as well but I have no idea as to why I can't even get it to be seen! The phone works as normal but when I plug in the tablet I don't even get the tethering prompt on the right side of windows (the blue pop up on the side) and have no connection when trying to enter the number Simhub provides.

Im really quite noobish at this stuff but found this thread with similar issue but don't quite understand the solution given here.

I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you.

I also have the licensed version if that assists in getting support 😉
