I'm using a USB hub; exact below:
http://www.yoctopuce.com/EN/products/extensions-and-networking/micro-usb-hub-v2
This is wired and connected to the TTL module and into the Nextion.
The TTL module directly plugged into a USB port on my computer works fine and loads up into game without issue.
The Display powers on but is not recognized when connected through the USB board.
Is there an issue with connecting through a hub or is there something I'm missing in a setting or in Windows?
Looks like your usb hub have issues. Usually I recommend avoiding usb hubs as quality is quite random, some hubs can work perfectly while some can give issues. If the screen is powered it means it's giving enough power which is usually the main issue when using usb hubs. I would try to unplug the screen and only keep the TTL plugged the the hub, if you can't get it recognized in windows it means you have issues with wiring or the hub itself (as TTL consumption alone will be minimal)
With the hub plugged into the computer and the TTL module wired into the hub, Windows does see the TTL adapter. I can't get the Editor to see the screen on the COM port and SimHub won't run the screen in game.
So I played around with the hub board and screen a bit more. I also hooked up the Arduino to run LEDs as planned via the same board.
The Arduino is found via SimHub normally and functions all LEDs as programmed in SimHub fine.
I actually got the screen to function while in game for a short period of time, maybe like a few minutes of testing then it stopped. The screen powers on and loads up the predefined dash pages normally and even the touch screen works.
I'm starting to wonder if the port I have hooked up on the hub for the TTL module is not a good connection. Going to try different port and report back.
