I'm new to the forums, so forgive me if I miss some of the etiquette.

Please someone help me.  I've added 2 bass shakers (2 x BST-1 with Nobsound amp) to my rig.  I play mostly PC2 and AMS2 in VR (Valve Index).  Since configuring everything the game now suffers from momentary freezes/stuttering.  Only for fractions of a second, but enough to be game-breaking - missed gears or corner entries etc.  I think I have narrowed the problem down to Simhub, and it only occurs when using VR - if I play on my TV it doesn't happen.  I'll list my system specs below, but to rule out software issues I've done a fully clean install of Windows 10 (I was previously running 11).  I usually run my GPU and CPU with a decent overclock, but set everything back to default before reinstalling Windows and the problem persists.

I'm really hoping someones gonna say 'oh yeah that happened to me and I did X and it fixed it', but any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Asus Prime Z590-a motherboard, Intel 10850k, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD (Raid0), Gigabyte Eagle 3080ti (all fully watercooled)

Fanatec CSW 2.5, Heusinkveld Sprints, Valve Index VR

Update:   so it turns out the problem isn't SimHub!  Thank god, because the alternatives that I've tried are terrible by comparison.  The stuttering still occurs with other programs, and is now happening outside VR (so even when I'm playing on my TV).  I think the problem may be something to do with the nobsound amp, but I'll continue troubleshooting and report back in case anyone is interested.

Hi,

I added 1 more amp (Dayton Audio) and a pair of bass shakers in the back of my cockpit, and updated Simhub to the newest version, yesterday.

Since then, I've been having terrible issues with FPS in AMS 2, rF2, AC1, when I race in VR. My FPS used to be around 89.6 average, but now it is in the 60s, with dips below 20 fps sometimes.

When I uninstalled Simhub, and shut down the amps, the problem did not happen. I also went to Sound Control Panel and changed from 4 speakers to 2 speakers.

I have been using 1 amp with 1 pair of shakers in my rog for about 3 months, using Simhub (version of around April), and never had this problem.

What can I do?

My PC is a AMD 7950X, no OC, on an Asus mobo E670X Hero, 32 Gb DDR 5 and Gigabyte RTX 4090, with a HP Reverb G2 VR. I did not update Windows, did not update NVIDIA drivers, did not update amy firmwares or BIOS. I just added 1 amp, changed the sound to 4 channels, and updated Simhub.

@tookeez Did you ever find a solution? If so I would love to know.

@wormzees yes, in the end, it was my sound card.  I was using the mobo onboard sound card for sound & the bass shakers.  I bought a cheap, externa USB sound card, and dedicated that to the bass shaker system, and problem was solved!

@mbattaglia I'm experiencing almost the same issue but on my monitor.

I have 6 bass shakers connected to my mobo sound card.

Could it be that stuttering comes even if the 3 nobsound amps are turned off?

The only thing I'm sure of, at the moment, is that when I enable the only one overlay I need both RF2 and LMU start to stutter. If I don't start the overlay, wether the amps are on or off, everything run smoothly.
