Hi All, please be gentle, just finding my way in the sim world!
I have a problem with Simhub, I have set up a wind sim but I cant get any where near using it as I cant get Simhub to download and install the Arduino IDE. I think I'm good with configuring the unit thanks to a very helpful instruction video from a fellow simhub user Daydreamer VR but Simhub keeps failing at installation stage
My process is:
Simhub>Arduino>Single Arduino, then I click on 'Open arduino setup tool'
A download box comes up and says 'Installing package SimHub.ArduinoIDE' with a progress bar saying it is downloading Simhub.ArduinoIDE.1.0.0.7z.
The download bar gets right to the end then it comes up with 'Unable to download/install the package, please verify your internet access or firewall rules'
I must of tried this over 25 times and I'm losing the precious remaining hairs on my head now 😟 .
I have done the following (without success)
Tried with firewall on and off, checked it is in the exception list on the firewall (Windows only, no aftermarket running)
Completely removed Simhub, rebooted and installed the latest 9.1.26 - The same happens
Seperately downloaded the files and copy and pasted into the Arduino/ArduinoIDE folder which I downloaded from Nicolas's Google drive link
Tried with and without the Arduino being connected
I've searched in Google and these forums but cant find any reference to anyone having a similar problem so I'm desperate for some help from anybody please!
I've just built my first rig with triples and all the bells & whistles and I'm loving it but this very last thing to do which is stinging a little, would be ace to get sorted with help from you lovely folks 😊
I'm in awe of SimHub and what Nicolas has achieved and was more than happy to buy my licence, be rude not too.
Cheers everyone
Well, ended up sorting this myself!
I deleted all Arduino files within Simhub (ie that came down with Simhub) did a restart then copy and pasted files again from Nicolas's link, rebooted PC and it worked! No idea what the problem was but I'm happy I've got the wind in my three hairs now 😊
Found this thread because I was having the same issue.
I was able to figure out that my [C:] drive was full. Everything worked after I freed up some space.
🍻
@simsteve37 I have the same problem, Can you please tell me how you solved it?
What is that Copy paste from Nicolas's link you are talking about?
