I am receiving a serious warning regarding the new simhub update. Can anyone confirm this?
Hi ! New versions often triggers false positives for a short time,
Every new version is scanned through virus total (both zip and separate installer exe, as well as submitted to windows defender for an explicit check.
If you are using defender at this time there shouldn't be any false positives. If unfortunately it's triggering please make sure to force update it : see "trigger an update" here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderupdates)
If you are using another antivirus feel free to report it to your antivirus vendor (unfortunately this can't be automated on my side as there are way too many antivirus) . False positives are an antivirus issue, mostly due to their reputation systems requiring some time to build a "reputation" for new files, and triggering some generic alerts in the wait.
You can also download older versions if needed time for your antivirus to handle your false positive report :all the past versions are available here https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/releases
Hello wotever, thank you very much for your quick reply. Windows Defender is giving me the warning, I've never had that with previous updates. I don't know, I'll look at it again at a later date.
