Hi all, I am trying to setup a windsim and just began by running through the Arduino setup before soldering anything on to the board.
The devices detect fine, I'm using the old driver to avoid the win 11 issue, but once I upload the prebuilt sketch using either pwm fans or motor the Arduino boards just randomly disconnect and connect. It appears to start slow and then gets faster and faster.
I've tried different USB ports, different cables , even added a power supply to the uno board but still the same issue.
Any ideas ?
As a test I even completed one board fully with the fan connected and still the same issue.
It's doing my head in.
Update: I uploaded various other sketches to the AliExpress Uno boards and had no issues with comms or disconnections but everytime as soon as i would load the PWM info from simhub, the board will disconnect and restart once it starts getting fed PWM data.
Bought an Arduino UNO R3 from Jaycar as a process of elimination and everything works flawlessly now.
So not sure if it has to do with the SMD design or the CH340 usb on the Ali Express ones but i am just glad i was able to sort it out.
Will leave this post here in case it helps someone else in the future.
