Hello, i'm just getting started with simhub as i picked up two Dayton BST-1's to add to my rig. I've had good success with some cars on iRacing but struggling with some others specifically with wheel slip. When racing oval cars as well as some heavier road cars like the Miata i cannot get wheel slip to feel right. Watching the telementry on Wheel Slip the car basically maxes out wheel slip just turning through the corner, if i intentionally spin the car out there is no telementry difference between speeding through the corner or drifting around the corner. I was hoping to get a feel of when the car is starting to spin, but seems like this is not possible for these type of cars? Has anyone had any success here? It felt pretty good with the ferrari i was driving, but on these big heavy stock cars its basically 100% wheel slip as soon as you start turning, and even turning down the inputs there is no difference between a good turn vs completely sideways.

I'm also having this issue. Just got my shaker yesterday and found this with PC2 so came looking for help!

Wheel slip effect rumbles away when barely accelerating in a straight line in top gear on a dry track in a GT5! Raising the threshold to stupid levels doesn't seem to help. Would really appreciate any other suggestions. Maybe the telemetry from certain sims isn't handled right?

For anyone who cares; I figured it out. Input Gain is the key.

When you lower Input Gain the Response Curve graph kids you into believing that the output can never reach 100%, but it can. What's happening here is that the slip signal from the game engine is clipping massively at a gain of 100, but if you bring the gain down to a point where it still clips a bit (but not too much) you can adjust the other settings to end up with a usable output.

I used replays of recorded sessions and the Live Effects graphs to help tune the settings. I settled on an Input Gain of 10(! And yes, it still clips when the wheels are locked at high speed), a threshold of 15 and a min force of 20 for my BK Gamer 2.

The Response Curve makes it look like these values will completely kill the output, but they don't. Anyone who finds this thread: give it a try.
