I am trying to set up a 30 led WS2801B LED strip with a Arduino Uno board. There are only three wires on the LED strip: 5V, Ground and DIN. When i go to load the sketch it asks for a CLK wire. I tried setting the CLK wire to 0 and uploading the sketch which is successful, but i am unable to get my LED strip to turn on. What am I doing wrong?

I think you are mixing ws2801 and ws2812 😉 ws2801 has 4 pins, while ws2812 has 3 pins. You should double check but I guess you are using ws2812 😉
